Questions and Discussions > Sauce for asian green

I'd like to know a good sauce for asian greens. I often buy those frozen dumplings from asian supermarkets and have them with bok choy or asian spinach etc and would like to know a good quick sauce to serve over them. Any suggestions? Bridget

Hello!
My two favourite quick sauces for bok choy or any Asian green -
I would steam them in the sauces for one pot cooking -
Finely chopped ginger- as much as you like, maybe a good tbsp,- with a mix of oyster sauce, light soy sauce and a little extra water to make sure the bottom of the pan is covered and 1cm high. Bring the sauces to a high heat, add bok shoy and gently simmer til cooked, they only take minutes. You can microwave this too.
Another good one that a visiting tradesman gave me, Garry Ballout - he would have a mix of Chinese five spice, soy and butter, and a little palm sugar(or brown).
Can add some chilli too of course to any of those two sauces.
