BBQ time is here, and American cuisine is hot right now - here is an idea to get things started for a gathering this summer.
(Chocolate sauce that turns crack hard once poured over ice cream)
In a double boiler, melt 250g dark chocolate with 2 tbsp coconut oil and a pinch of salt, stirring til smooth and glossy.
Allow to cool slightly then pour over ice cream, wait 30 seconds for it to harden then tuck in!
You can add some extra flavours for a special adult dessert - ground ginger, chilli, garam masala, or lavender..max 1 tsp of flavouring should add the right amount of punch - watch the chilli though!
I whipped these up yesterday with the kids, they are perfect for kitchen fun as you are simply making a dough and cutting out, ready for baking.
They loved them hot from the oven with some butter.

Serve room temp or slightly warmed in the oven.
